Hey everyone how's it going...For my final exam in my Oceanogrophy course at Southern Connecticut State University, my teacher has assigned us an essay. He is allowing me to write mine on the History and role of seaplanes/flying boats....Im having major trouble finding information on the net...Any ideas, suggestions, help that can be provided would be a big help....

If you go back far enough...many of the 1920-1940 planes were set on floats due to lack of quality runways. There was a race every year for the fastest seaplane too...though the name escapes me here at work. I will post it later if I can find it. I did the exact same project a year ago and founf a trmendous amount of information from the local library. Also look up Howard Hughes, bush operations, Pan Am, and Grumman.
