Hiring on \"the DL\" - very ignorant question!
Hi all,
Please excuse my incredible ignorance, as I am only familiar with Federal hiring practices, which are fairly straight forward (yet very, very, very drawn-out and time consuming):
Do airlines (specifically majors) ever put together indoc classes of individuals who are well-networked and qualified when they are not explicitly hiring? This is something that is nearly illegal in the public sector (there must be an open, sometimes "all sources" vacancy announcement for G positions), but I have seen in happen in the private sector. Just wondering if the same is true for the airline industry.
Just curious. I don't plan on going into the industry (yet, we'll see).
Thanks!
J.
