My CFI just gave me a phone call, he was hired with American Eagle as an ERJ145 F/O. His total time was about 2,100 hrs, unsure of the multi time. He said the interview was easy and the sim ride was in a B707. He also informed me that the class was about 35 guys, they went by the oldest to youngest for seniority and who gets to choose aircraft and base. He is 28 i believe. He said there were a lot of younger guys and some had a total time of 900 something hours, which is good news for all of us, he flies out to dallas for training soon. This got me so hyped up when he told me the news and the process. He is actually a member of JC as BRAZPILOT, but is rarley on. Congrats Mike!

Congrats to him. Gives a lot of us on this board some renewed hope and faith reading posts like this. Thanks for sharing.

My CFI just got hired too, by expressjet. That makes 3 CFI's from my flight school that have gone to the airlines in the past 4 months. These guys are getting hired in the 2000TT/300 multi range, no turbine time. Not bad considering we usually only employ about 4 CFI's at a time.

The assistant chief pilot at my flight school got hired by American Eagle in march. He had about 2000TT but couldn't have had more than 50 or 100 ME, well below what they list as their minimum of 300 ME
