Well I just thought I'd finish the blog with the last page of the story. I was hired by ATP in May as an instructor. I instructed at JAX from the middle of May until the middle of July, when the moved me home to ATL. I worked at ATL from July until the first of September, when I crossed the 500 hour threshold and applied to Colgan Air. I got a call one day later and interviewed last week on Wednesday and Thursday.
I just found out today that I got the position as an F/O on the Saab 340 at Colgan! I'm so pumped. From a 42 hour PPL to an airline F/O in 6 months and two weeks!!!!

That's nuts! Back in 2003 when I was actively searching for CFI jobs ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY, I had to wait 3 months to just get a CFI gig. 1 year 10 months later I finally made it to a 121 carrier.
