Well it finally happened. I am now part of the wonderful 121 world at PSA Airlines. Thanks so much to everybody on this site who offered advice over the past two years. Doug/Kristie, I guess I owe you guys a beer sometime. About PSA... they are hiring like crazy. I guess they are seeing good growth in the future. Mins are at 600/100 I think. The lowest number I saw at the interview was 700/150. Really laid back enviroment, but still very professional. Start date is in less then 2 weeks. Limitation memorization here I come!
 
Congratulations! I wish I had my ratings and the minimums, because the seem like a good airline. Keep us updated!

Last time I looked at their site the minimums were still 1500 total time and they said they were hiring all locations. Guess they need to update.

Are you getting to pick your base? The website seemed to imply you could. That was interesting to me as they have a base here in Charlotte.

Thanks all. Interview was extremly laid back, but still professional at the same time. Good stuff. I take back what I said about mins... they are 1000/100 but there were a bunch of us below that. PSA is US Airways Express. John, are you still sitting in the pool for the twotter? I had lunch with one of their new hire FOs the other day and she said that the training department is starting to gear up for some new classes. There's hope I guess.
 
Yup, still in the pool. What were/are your times? As far as Scenic goes I hear things but it's all just conjecture 'till I get a call. I have a friend who is in IOE and an aquaintance in training now (started 7/5).

Not really interested in trying somewhere else as I think Scenic is a good place to be so it's just a matter of patience. Grats again.

I have an interview with Colgan this weekend, I dunno what to do about it.. I am gonna go, but I dunno what the outcome will be..
 
Scenic will get back to you soon. Just keep thinking positive. Times for hire were about 850/625. Tram, don't give up on Colgan, they fly some really cool places and the upgrades are pretty quick historicly. It seems like they are the place for ATP instructors to go right now (a whole bunch from ATL from what I heard). Good luck on the interview. And MikeD, you aren't chopped liver. At least I don't think so as I don't even really know what chopped liver looks like.
 
Hey Tram,

I don't know if you know this about colgan but let me just say when you interview with them they are looking for someone who will stay and not leave for a jet regonal. I interviewed with them a month ago and I don't think Chuck Colgan liked what I had to say so I didn't get the job, but when they ask why colgan best thing to say is to talk about the quick upgrade. You've probably already heard this but I just wanted to let you know Chuck really looks for people he knows will stay at colgan. Good luck with the interview.

OH P.S. Try not to stare at all the hair Chuck Colgan has growing out of his ears, nose and out the back of his neck

congrats ethan. I tried to get on with PSA. But they never called me for an interview. bummer!

I was offered a job with colgan. Its a growing company. IF they ask why colgan, you can say growth with the new CO contract and upgrade times. he'll ask you why us and not a jet operator. so think of something good to say then too. I only turned it down because i was already in ground school with another airline. Good luck
