John-
This Freight Dog is howling at the Moon and doing O.K., not to mention, also a card carrying member of the Order of the Sleepless Night.

"I certainly wouldn't trust my family in a plane with them flying! The passenger flying cockpit is no place for an uncontrolled temper."

Riiiiiiiight(Dr Evil voice) I've seen the other side, it's like going behind the scenes at Disney, and the guy in the Winnie the Pooh suit has a 4 day old beard and is smoking a cigarette, watching porn on the internet. Don't EVEN try to make it sound otherwise.

IOW flying 121, is flying 121.

Dude that is just wrong - Winnie the Pooh is awesome. You have to have mad love for him!!!

"Hardest thing about training ex-freight dogs is that they are not allowed to take charter passengers through rough weather."

You know you are a true freight dog when ATC says that there is smoother air above and below you, but you really don't care.

LOL I didn't want to insult all freight dogs, just the crazy ones
smile.gif

And the temper remark was not aimed at freight dogs if you read it carefully

and ORDFO - when it comes to flying through bad weather. You are absolutely correct!

John-
"LOL I didn't want to insult all freight dogs, just the crazy ones"

I didn't know we came in any other form!

I knew a guy who talked about his friend flying a 210, they called him "Straight Line Charlie" because he didn't go around anything.

Well - so goes yet another thread meant to be something positive - ruined by comments/opinions that were better left unspoken.

If I come across as some kind of "hot head" for defending something I believe in or for defending someone I respect - then so be it.

Congrats to my instructor!!

I'm done with this thread.

Have at it.

And if they fail at that they can give seminars on how to become a pilot. right?

After all those who can't "do"

.......Coach..

So those who are failures in aviation do what? convince kids to cough up $185 to learn how to become a professional pilot?

And for what it's worth, if you are only getting 400 clams to fly you really need to find another job you are getting screwed. the PART TIME low time FOs at my company start at 300$

Eagle I don't have a job.

That's what I charge to fly.

Happily Unemployed since Apr 2002 (when I started my own company!)

I have to wonder, however, what sort of lever you hold over Doug, that he allows a moderator to make the sarcastic, personal attacks that you get away with.

You must know where somebody's body is buried.

And you don't seem to be such a happy person either.

P.S. Where do you get $185? My seminars are $150 to first timers, $100 to repeats.

Sez "Goon Squad" for a reason under my name. Who did you think dug that grave for him?

Well that really didn't happen...

I do think it is funny that you hold Doug's judgement is such low esteem, yet still come back again and again.

Unemployed

or

you have your own company?

oh,

Sorry about the 185, my mistake. Guess I put a higher value on your services than you did. I'll try and not do that anymore.

What a life you must have.

Well if you mean being married to a drop-dead gorgeous 6ft tall redhead, who has yet to break the 145 pound mark (not having a single argument in the 10 years we have been married) while living in one of our three houses (this one is a turn of the century Victorian that we authentically restored) being fully retired on a pension at 38, having no debt, and a nice private airplane (with no lien), add in flying around in some very very fast jets to such god-awful destinations as Las Vegas and Jackson Hole all on the company's dime…

Yeah I do have some life
