HIRED BABY!!!!

Upgrade time.........4-5 years.
Sorry to bust your chops, but something just doesn't add up. You were hired into a freight gig with less than 600TT (Pretty amazing itself), did it for a few hundred hours (barely) and you’re complaining about a 4-5 year upgrade?? If you got tired of freight so soon, how do you think you will feel after 3000+ hours in the right seat of a Be/SAAB?

Just for clarification, how long were you at Airnow?

I just don’t get the “how soon can I upgrade” mentality these days. Take your time and enjoy the ride. Don’t be in a hurry to be a “Gray hair” it happens fast enough on its own.

Good luck at Colgan.

Actually I AM in it for the ride. Upgrade time in itself doesn't matter to me. There is a whole lot of backstory you don't know. I really just want to fly which is something I couldn't do with previous employment. It's also a good thing just to be happy for those who get the chance and say congrats. Don't you agree?

He will upgrade with way less then 3000hrs at Colgan. How is the upgrade at Airnow 4yrs? There looking for Captains with 1500 hrs.

Spoke to BULL last night and it does all add up. Heard the whole story. Once again welcome!

Mark is lonely, he'll call anyone. :)

I have gotten more play in my overnight in AUG, with better looking women than you can get with a million dollars in South Beach.

:)

Congrats on getting hired!

I had a quick question for you BULL, or anyone else that is familiar with the SD3-60 requirements at AirNow. You mentioned that one could apply online if they met the minimum requirements. What are the minimums? The website just mentions the 135 minimums, but I assume that it must be less for the SD3 gig.

Any information you have would be helpful. Thanks in advance :)

Hey guys was just wondering how long it usually takes to get a call back after the interview process with colgan! Thanks

Just to let you know, finished the first week of indoc groundschool and finally got a/c today. I'll be driving the SAAB, OOOOHHHH YYEEEAAHH!!!

Oh no another mainline guy on here ;)

Always remember to bring us water in the Beech!

Check yours PMs!

Congrats as well!

You're not mainline, its just what us Beech guys call the Slaab pilots.

Three levels of flying at Colgan

'International' = IAH
'Mainline' = Saab Drivers

'Express', aka 'the retards', aka 'who gives a •! about them' = Beech 19hondo guys.

Also Nole ask Gordo about this one, we were taxing on the inner ramp in Hell (IAD) and we had to give way to the Slaab. Convo went like this...

Tower : Colgan 4917 give way to the Saab then continue
Me: Ok we'll give way to the Slaab and continue in
Slaab: You should hear what we call your plane
Me: O Really? Don't you think I have heard them all?

What pays more the Beech or the Saab? Prolly the Saab right?
