Pays to fly
Finally, and for the first time in over a year we got to take a long trip with the 210. I needed to decompress and my partner, Andy had only tennis on his mind at Van Der Meer. No, we didn't go down for Heritage golf!
I flew down and Andy flew back. It was CAVU all the way down, and as I had hoped, a departing low gave us some tail winds. Going back was just the opposite weather-wise, but we lucked out again as an approaching low gave us some 40+ knot tail winds, much better than we had going down. Very rare to get tail winds both coming and going on that route.
Over New Jersey at 10K with Atlantic city in the distance.
Gratuitous panel shot.
Norfolk, VA.
I love our new gear mirror!
Myrtle Beach, SC
Hopefully this will soon be joined by a GNS 530 in the panel.
Charleston, SC
Signature's terminal at HXD
Unloading on the ramp
Not quite CAVU on the way back at 11K
Diversion around weather. The 496 with XM and our Strikefinder did a superb job, but we still got knocked around from time to time. However a GS of around 200 kts was nice to have!
Back over New Jersey. Can you say "yuk"?
Well, hopefully we won't have to wait over a year for the next trip, and I am hoping we can get back down there within the next couple of months.
