Hijacked Ethiopian Boeing 767 Airliner lands

I concur - I have replayed FlightRadar24 and can see the 7500 squawk - all planes disappear around this point due to lack of coverage but - LOT6206 is now over the Med and ETH702 is still missing from FlightRadar24 - but it could be a glitch, have seen planes disappear before or even switching off ADS-B or FlightRadar24 can hide flights as well... but the squawk 7500 does look suspicious although this appears to have been the squawk for it's entire flight coverage on FlightRadar24 - thanks for the info and the heads up - it takes several hours for some stories to be available even on the net.

You just know this ends in tears because Berlusconi sent some of his underage female platonic friends on a morale-boosting tour of Italian air bases.

This is an anomaly, just that, I am basing it off completely off what information there is about the flight. There is also no news that says it is still flying in the air. Can I please get a break?

Can I please get a break?

I give you special break for special price! I think you're getting a bit of ribbing for announcing that an airplane has definitely been hijacked. That said, maybe it has and we just don't know about it. Past stating facts that aren't in evidence, I don't think anyone is really all that riled. Relax. I mean obviously I hope you're wrong, but either way, no great harm in pointing out something that you wondered about.

The good news, World, is that there is a complex and highly-compartmentalized network of airplane nerds in basements around the world keeping an eye on the internet-skies. So that you don't have to. Reminds me of the old saw about the 100th Infantry Division (Training), Louisville, KY. "Sleep easy, America, the 100th is awake. Drunk, but awake."

Ehhh… I think we're dramatically "over-interpreting" single-source information.

Eastern lost a whole L-1011 over single source information too.
