Highest Flight Level?

FL410 in the 767-300. Not as impressive as Alchemy at FL450 in the Whale though.

I've still got him on ground speed, though. 668 over Japan, sucka! ;)

FL250. (Dash trash unite!)

Had a 152 up to 11,500 once. Going on a long cross country with a student. He says: "Well there's a headwind, so we may have to stop for fuel, but there's a tailwind at 12,000, Haha". I told him to run the numbers. It saved us something like 20 minutes and a fuel stop.

A friend of mine in the Finnish Air Force reached FL700 twice and had an engine flameout both times in a Mig 21

I've taken a 172 to 13,500 over the Stanfield VOR in Southern PHX....top of stack was brutal! lol

Also had a 152 at 11,500 in one of the Grand Canyon's VFR corridors...We felt small.

FL300 in the pilatus, 11,000 in a Skyhawk once over VA. I was still working survey at the time, got bored and wanted to see how high I could get it. Not bad for a '75 skyhawk with the wimpy 150hp engine.
I did a few survey projects in my 150hp 172 where the whole project was above 12k. They can do it. I could reliably count on 13k out of it without the aid of outside lift.

I've had a 172 up to 15k several times. Didn't want to stay there though. I have tons of time in the mountains of Idaho below 50 ft. though in a 182 doing Fish and Game. Low level is way more fun than altitude.
