High total time / low multi time job possibilities

Unfortunately, it's the wrong time of the year for Alaska jobs. Otherwise I'd say do that, it seems like that would really fit the bill for you. Adventure, all kinds of interaction with people, don't need multi time to get the job, etc.

I considered it, but blimps are a little too much adventure for my taste. Those guys literally live out of a suitcase most of the year. Not to mention one needs to have some internal connections to get a pilot position it seems. One of my friends from college used to work as a blimp mechanic and gave me the low down on that whole industry.

I thought the same thing, actually. Except I don't think I could hack winter flying up there. The cold/darkness really affects my mood over time. I'd love to spend a season flying aerial tours in the summer, but I think it's tough to get that sort of work without spending a winter there first, getting to know people.

In any case, I have some time to figure this out. I told my boss that no matter what happens, I'll be around for a few months yet, but he should have a plan on what to do without me by this winter. The earliest I'd leave is September and latest is January.

Cape Air is still at the top of my list. But I'll be checking in to some of the air ambulance and South Pacific options for sure.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Keep the ideas rolling in if you have them!

Like so many other things here, it all depends. Often it works the other way around-companies hire lots of people for the busy summer season, then keep the ones they like the best through the not-as-busy winter season.
 
Found out today that I have an interview at Cape Air in a few weeks! Now I hope I don't screw it up...
