High Performance or not?

I am looking for a little advice...

I recently completed my Multi-engine commercial training with ATP using the Piper Seminole. The engines are 180hp each. So, as the aircraft has a combined total HP of 360 and I was signed off to fly it, does this count as High Performance or do I still need to get a high performance endorsement?
 
No. Each engine must be 200+ for the aircraft to be considered HP, so you must still get the signoff to fly a HP aircraft. You can go out in a 182 and get the HP...it will be good for high performance multiengine aircraft as well.

"AN engine of more than 200 horsepower" implies two engines at 180 do not suffice. An additional high performance endorsement is necessary.

By the way, if your 2-engine Seminole did meet the high performance requirement, you would have needed an endorsement for the checkride.
 
That was what I was afraid of. Oh well, I will have to get together with my CFI for some high performance training - no problem.

It still seems rather ludicrous though. Procedures were much the same as in the Arrow (just swap gear down for carb heat on the downwind GUMP check). Approach speed a little slower and the round out required some more back pressure. Was fun.

Hey, I think you initialed my logbook on my long xc! Dunno if you remember but I flew in from Fairmont, WV on 4/16 in a c172. (White with a red/maroon stripe). I think it is you as my logbook says PRix (I think). Anyhow, if it was, nice meeting you.
