High/Low Key Positions

Does anyone have any information about high or low key positions when doing a power off landing?

I believe high key is circling off airport to lose altitude then come onto your base leg, final, ect. and low key is circling right over your intended landing spot while losing altitude (kinda like a steep spiral).

Airplane Flying Handbook. Chapter 7 Power Off Approach.
Page 7-19, Fig. 7-12

High Key is "abeam" the touchdown spot on downwind.
Low Key is on Base.

Both positions are used as reference points to judge where and when to make the next turn.
