Hello everybody, my name is Davy, I am a bristow academy former student where I did all my training. So now, I'm CFII helicopter rated abd I try to do my best to break into the industry as a cfi/cfii.
I discovered this good website couple weeks ago, where the post so the peoples seem to be very friendly. So thanks for it and whish all the best.

Welcome, we need more rotor jockeys. How was Bristow to attend? Do they have flow through to AirLog or any of the No Sea stuff?

Actually right now the school is a training mill with alot of sponsorised pilots from all over the worl whom have all the priorities over others regular students.
50 aircrafts, over 50 CFI and some 400 permanent full time students...

a huge business tough where if you are not lucky you just wait for your training. But I have to be honnest and recognize that the private's part 141 ground school is great and the school already very safety oriented had gain an other step when bristow bought it... target zero!

there are pro and cons like everywhere and it is hard for me to be objective because I only experience this school.

Now the job's connections between airlog and bristow academy are not obvious has far as I can see, even though some guys (actually many bristow CFI) got a job either in the GOM or in Nigeria. but all of them, I do believe they had over the 1000 mark execpt one who had 750 hours and had a seat as single pilot in a 407 VFR not bad at all .

Now europe is pretty different, it's mostly about having the good education (ATPLH frozen 14 exams + IFR twin turbines and about 200/300 hours) and performing well during the interview to get a left seat flying a big bus to the oil rigs, the pay is great but the weather sucks I guess.
