I'm a little late to the party, but wanted to have my say as they say. Thanks. My own service was behind a desk and extremely undangerous to the point that I don't like to mention it for fear of looking like one of those awful pogue schmucks who think they're general custer balancing the divisions books at the little bighorn. Plus in my old age I've begun to question the wisdom of a huge standing army and its attendant politically self sustaining military/industrial complex. But never let that be confused with anything but total respect and appreciation for those who wear the uniform and get shot at in pursuit of our sometimes misguided geopolitical aims. You citizen soldiers (and airmen, and definitely Marines, and even squ...I mean sailors) make me proud to be an American.
