Hey Students (Pvt-Comm)...

[ QUOTE ]
Don't get angry if your student performs the manuver better than you demoed it.

Why would anyone get angry? Personally, I'd be damn happy if one of my students could do a maneuver better than me- I'd take it as a compliment.

Well I just had a really • long XC instrument flight with my instructor (the 250 nm total w 3 approaches) and I think he did every bad behavior listed above. If he reads this please:

-Don't call me Homer
-Tell stupid/• jokes. Especially when cleared for the approach i.e. while the workload is high
-Make fun of everyone else in the air
-[expletive deleted] around with your buddies during my block time while I'm waiting outside the plane
-Get pissed when I FORCE you do a mini approaches/course briefing on the ground so I'm not totally clueless
-Don't yell, snap, bark, etc.
-Explain/talk more
-Make a [expletive deleted] plan

And this guy is at least 45.

Our relationship is like a bad marriage that I can't get out of. He has really taught me a lot however he can be a real ass. Unfortunately I don't have many choices for other instructors... otherwise I'd leave. And I'm close to finishing my IR.

I use examples of other pilot's radio comm, both good and bad, as examples of what to do and what not to do.

Homer?
