"Hey! I know that guy!" (Delta Super Fan Video)

I still have to watch it. I got a copy of it last week but I haven't seen it yet.

I don't mind being on film, public speaking or anything else like that, but I absolutely loathe seeing myself on video!

I could seriously host The Price Is Right for a decade but there wouldn't be a snowballs chance in hell I'd want to actually watch it.

I love watching these things happen. There is a true passion for other legacy carriers that I think most pilots are unaware of. I have many colleagues who love Delta and would die by it's sword and the same could be said for United. Myself, will always have a soft spot for Delta as being the best, but I'm trying my best to have an open mind being the pilot side.

His knowledge is impeccable. Europe overhead gates, statistics on the Embraer, statistics on certain flights...wow. That kid sounds smart. Wish I knew those statistics...the only statistics I study are fantasy football stats...lol.

Hopefully he continues to follow his dream and we all see him on the line in the future. I can't imagine how great it was to be a part of this... So thank you, Doug!

Your tie was a little loose.

;)

Well done. Something he and his family will remember forever. I fell in love with aviation at a much younger age than that, but I was around 12 and took a 727 to CVG and a 767 from CVG-BOS. That's when I fell in love with the 767. I was blown away at the fact that a plane had TWO aisles in it!

I was around 12-13 yrs old and heard the roar of an AA -10 doing a missed approach at PHL ... my child mind was blown away at the size of the thing going by soooooo loooowwwwww over the schoolyard during recess. Some diversion from JFK most likely, because the heaviest thing Philly saw in the late 90s were USAir 767s, LH 342s and BA 747s.

Hopefully, it helps shed some light on why I started Jetcareers. :)

It's all real, "cine verite", unscripted, and two full days of being mic'ed and filming compressed into 3 minutes.

I have the long form version but I haven't seen it yet, I'm not sure how long it turns.

Yup, I still need to watch it. I got to the first scene where I"m speaking, which is actually from the end of day two right before I flew back home and I was dog tired and went "Eek! Can't watch it!" ha!

So where is this kid? Let's get him on here and start fostering his growth! He should be the heir to JC, since @Derg doesn't have any little Derg's running around.

So they cut out the "Chicks dig beta" line after his profession of 'Bro love?

Was that in the van to the airport? I can't remember. But I literally didn't grasp the level of his knowledge until we were chatting in the van, doing Matthew McConoghey impressions together and then he got down to the business of asking me how the lower specific fuel consumption of the geared turbofans on the new A330s were going to affect the CASM on SEA to Asia markets and how I saw the airline redeploying it's Asian assets to expand market at a cost advantage several points better than our competition.

"It's uhh, gonna be REAL cool man" :)

Yeah, they cut after he says how the EMB110 & 120 have a really cool history.
Wow. At first I thought he wanted to be a pilot, now I'm thinking he's gunning for Anderson's chair...

He has a level of knowledge over almost every aspect of the operation, if he doesn't end up CEO of a large corporation or end up curing cancer, I would be absolutely shocked.

Gotta keep tabs on this one! I'm pretty psyched for this next generation, the internet definitely let them hit the ground running. Far cry from riding your bike to the library or trying to find answers on Encarta CD-ROMs.

This is why I love this website. Like @DPApilot posted within the week. That's how I was at 12. I can't think of a better individual to represent his brand than the man who runs JC.

Everyone complements the kid (as they should), but @Derg had the same "flying is the coolest thing ever" attitude in this presentation.

Heck yeah Derg! Really cool to watch, its awesome that the company reached out to you to pull it all together.

And you looked fine! besides the camera adds 10 pounds right?o_O

Me too. Aviation is a hell of a way to see he world and pay the mortgage! :)
