I reaaalllyyyy hate checkrides!!! And I really hate the fact that I'm traveling 400 miles to take one, but I refuse to pay the outrageous prices in the area for anything!!! More of a matter of principle.
I spoke with my examiner this morning, and he was pretty much like, "Well, it's a CFI add-on, so it won't be too bad. We'll start at 10:00 so we'll have time to do the oral and fly both planes (172 & PA-28) in time for lunch - I have another checkride at 1:00".
Sounds good to me...

Hey!! I was just about to drop you a note and let you know that I'd be in the area. I'll be landing in Kinston at some time in the mid-afternoon and I have to do a checkout really quick. After that, my checkride will be Saturday at 1000. I'll stick around in Kinston until sometime in the evening on Sat. So, I'm free Friday and all afternoon Saturday.....what's your schedule like??

Nothin' better than a DE in a rush!!!

Thanks for the moto, Stan! Have you ever noticed that right before a checkride, you start to discover all of the things that you should know and you don't??
