Help! Need a couple of Suggestions for massive 1700 nm XCtry in a Twin

Wait until the next cold front is predicated to move through. Airline in the day before the crap weather, wait it out in your cozy hotel room then launch then next morning. It will be low ceilings, snow, icing and not fun but it is always VMC after the front moves through.

I have used this strategy and done similar trips in non-IFR and non-FIKI airplanes. Several 1,000+ mile trips in C172s, PA18s, etc...
