Ok OK....I guess that my avatar deserves to be flamed. No those aren't my cabana boys. Thats actually my brother in the center and I am one on the side. Anyhow in my own defense, last night i was trying to figure out how to shrink an image to an acceptable size for my avatar and that just happened to be the picture that i was messing around with. If you look at my last post it was around 2:30am and once i figured out how to shrink it i went to bed. As you can see i am still having some problems with it. Why does the image look so choppy. My face seems to have been squished together in a hydraulic press and my brother has no ears? <font color="blue"> What would be a better program to use to shrink the image without distorting it so bad? or what is the proper way to do it with MS Paint? I went to "image" and then to "stretch/skew" and you can see what i ended up with</font> .....and yes I'll choose a different picture so all of you don't have to see my sexiness in all its glory!
 
Adobe photoshop is the best, but if you want, MS Photo editor works good to, thats how I got my avatar, just right click the picture and choose "Open with..." then choose photo editor.
 
sometimes it depends on that type of file your playing with too.. if it's a jpg or gif, they're different in the amount of pixels...you should be able to use the stretch/skew without a problem, just make sure the pixel size is as it should be when you insert the avatar (i think it's 180x180 or something like that) and it should come in just fine.
 
There is a really good image viewer (free!) called irfanview, that allows you to very easily resize images and keep the original aspect ratio. Nice little program. Easy to use and very handy. It has really easy slideshow and thumbnail features as well as viewing almost any type of image or graphic files. I highly recommend it.
