Helicopter Pilot Salary?

Why, I visit there at least once a day just to stay on top of things.

Average salary of helicopter pilot is $111,500. However mid-range Helicopter Pilot salaries range from $81,000 to $150,000. The lowest-earning Helicopter Pilots make less than $32,000, while the highest-paid ones earn more than $130,000.

Looking at $180,000 for some helicopter pilot gigs in certain parts of the oil sector work, on some of the top airframes. Not bad.

As I'm retiring from the Army in a few years I've been looking in to flying jobs more and more. There are very few opportunities in the lower 48 that will have you start off on anything over $60k-70k a year... and that's if you already have a significant amount of flight time.

(I just noticed this thread was started almost 10 years ago. And I thought I had nothing better to do Mr. Jay Rogers)

Met a guy in Houma, LA flying for for the oil companies...made over 200K, almost all of them were former military. They were flying the Sikorsky S76...awesome looking machine!

ERA starts off their guys with pretty competitive salaries. I just wish my wife wasn't dead set on moving to the North East.

Hey guys, I'm just about to start my aviation career and while I've always been dead set on flying rotars, when I look at the job market it seems there are 10x more opportunities flying fixed wing. Is that true? Not to mention if I graduate my flight school with my CFI w/outhe instrument @150hrs where should I go from there? I can't seem to find any cfi jobs making more than 20-25th which in ca just doesn't cut it.
