Heli Crash in KHGR

One of our neighbor flight schools at KFDK just lost an R44. 4 Presumed dead with 3 of them being employees. We know a lot of them here and it has hit hard. RIP fellow Aviators.

That happened about twenty minutes from where I live ... I had no idea. This is awful news ... conducting charity flights for a foundation and then go down during a short hop from HGR to FDK. There are two ridges in between the two airports, and fog is notorious for settling in ... I don't remember exactly how bad the weather was Thursday evening. How unfortunate for the friends and families of the victims

Sounds like a wire strike when trying to land. RIP. It has been a bad week for helicopters all together. This is the 5th fatal I have heard about this week.
