Headset question (Telex 8 ANR)

Saw it at Oshkosh, it’s an overpriced POS like all their other headsets. Why not get one that has working ANR, bluetooth, and folds into a tiny space instead like the DC Pro X?

the DC Pro X looks great. I’ll give the Telex a trial run and return them if they don’t workout.
I agree on the quality of their other headsets. Was just hoping they may have improved with these

Have any of you tried the Telex Airman 8 headset? Different than the 850.
I plan on using it in a fairly quiet jet flight deck

Appreciate any knowledge on it!

Saw a guy using it the other day. About same anr as the 850 from what I could tell but the top cushion and the spiral wrapped cords should have been done years ago. Leave it to a headset company to iterate, pretend they're innovating, and give the fix for the old headset a new name. They should just end the 850 line and call it the 8 or just make every 850 like the 8 and call it the 850. And when people ask why it's different, say, "we finally fixed the same 4 or 5 problems everyone complains about on the 850.

Haha.. and they’ve been making headsets for how long now?
you gotta wonder sometimes
