Hawaii's Island Air goes belly up

Sad end to a long-time Hawaiian airline. According to today's Star Advertiser, last flight this Friday, Nov. 10.

Any of the brothers who want to stay in the Islands and don't mind downgrading to the humble Caravan might find a home at Makani Kai Air, they're looking for pilots.

Really sad news. I was actually hoping that they could pull it together and come out of their BK at some point. Hope the crews and all the employees can find a new job soon.

Really sucks to hear that. Without this tiny airline I wouldn't be where I am today and have the growth from the great experiences. There are some great pilots that are going to be looking for jobs. Hope everyone lands right-side-up.
