A few weeks ago I got to fly on Hawaiian's 717 (first time on a 717 and I loved it!
) and it got me wondering... The pilots who fly their 717's must have a pretty good gig going. You can go home every night, no overnights, and worst you may get stuck on an adjacent island every now and again. Yet you still get to fly for a relatively major airline that seems stable and has good market share.
What are the downsides?
