Hawaiian Airlines Hiring

All done, anyone else notice the flight time box only had 2 selections, 500-1000 PIC and over 1000 PIC? and you couldn't not answer it? Soo what if you don't have any TPIC.

Are they asking pic or tpic? In my mind, unless you are a 250 hour wonder. Everyone would have at least 500 hours of pic.

I think the and/or is pretty confusing

500-1000 hours of Turbojet and/or Turboprop PIC acting as Captain
More than 1000 hours of Turbojet and/or Turboprop PIC acting as Captain

I can think of a few ways to interpret this

500 hours turbojet (either PIC or SIC) or 500 turboprop PIC

Well, you have to subtract PIC gained when working on your instrument rating or your commercial ratings. I have almost 300 PIC but only 117 "aircraft commander" PIC.

and it says you are required to submit LORs?
So if you don't have any you can't apply?

Step one to filling out any application... read the job listing and all the application questions thoroughly. The 1000TPIC was very clearly mentioned in the job description.

They are allowing you to combine Turbojet/Turboprop PIC. No mention of SIC there. You're over thinking it a bit.

@BobDDuck do they do a mil conversion at all?

I have no idea about mil conversions, but there are a lot of ex (and current reserve/guard) military guys here so I wouldn't be surprised if they allow for it. As to the LORs... I think they are just saying if you have any LORs you have to submit them now.

Thanks, no internals but applied. I put in the email CV that there was no mil conversion applied to my times.

Heard calls went out. Did anyone here get one?

Yeah. I was not able to make any of the dates they offered (5 days in a row) without jeopardizing current job. Also, just left a job commuting SEA-HNL and it was very difficult for me for inter-island day trips (they're currently hiring for 717). Really tough call but they were great about it and offered to call first next time.

They canceled and reposted the vacancy award that these new hire spots were assigned to. Only change was down to 14 new hires instead of 18.
