sometimes I wonder how different the world would be if pilots withheld their services from billionaires

It is fairly common for corporate pilots to think they are at the same table as the passengers/ owners. They rarely think of themselves as the "help", even though they're throwing luggage from the baggage compartment, or on call 24/7, or working holidays so someone else can go skiing and take that Carribean vacation.

This is still sort of a fallacy. How exactly do you define "standing up and risking what they've worked so hard for"? It sure as **** isn't posting about it on the internet, or making a bunch of "awareness" posts on social media. None of those things count as "standing up", or even as doing anything at all. So I'll submit most people you are putting into the latter category, are really just part of the former category, but louder. They don't stand to lose anything from their angry internet posting. It is virtue signaling to like-minded individuals.

I've many of them get fired because of the mentality. They some how believe that the operation would completely collapse without their involvement in it only to watch them replaced within a few business days.
