Had to Perform as an "Additional Crew Member" Today!

Old school!

Man I don't eat fish on an airplane.

Listen to Doug! When I first started with AA, I loved the fact we got crew meals, since I had never worked anywhere with that "benefit" before. And on some trips, we get three a day ($$ saved, woohoo!)

One trip, the Captain pulled rank for the chicken, so my only choice was the shrimp salad. I had been warned, but was totally starving, so I went for it.

By the time we got back to base, I was ready to die. My stomach was rolling, I had the sweats. I wanted to curl up into a ball and die. I also devolved a serious "venting" issue, that to this day, some of my crash pad mates will not let me forget. But it did make a flight attendant on the employee bus gasp in horror, so I get pad points for that.

NEVER eat the fish (or any seafood) on an airplane!

Pshaw, eventually your stomach gets used to it! :laff: Seriously, thanks to Eagle & AA, I have a concrete-lined stomach. We were so desperate for food, we'd pick at leftovers of damn near anything. Kinda vulture-ish, but we were hungry and broke and it was there. So we ate it.
