Had to pee in cup 2X in 1 week

After being in the Air Force for over 6 years I just got called to do my first random drug test on sat. Monday, while sitting reserve at SkyWest I got called to do a random drug test.

Could be worse when I was in the Army I had to watch people pee in the cup twice a week. If I remeber correctly the job title was "meatgazer."

They watch you? What about those of us who are "shy"? LOL

It's the Army...It's not like your going anywhere. We would have to physically watch how the urine entered the cup. That and stiring the flaming poo are the worst jobs in the army. :(

Wow, and here I am clicking on this thread because I thought you just had to "go" in flight or something.

Yep, in the USAF you had to have an 'observer' watching you go - usually standing over to the side. As a medic, I had the pleasure of performing this patriotic duty a few times when we did post-incident testing after normal hours. Stood back just enough so I didn't actually see any bits and pieces, just the stream.

Got hit with randoms in the USAF regularly myself, and later got hit a few times doing Part 121 Supplemental too.

Bad week to try heroin.

Being a "meatgazer" was number 3 on my list of the dumbest things I have ever done for the Army. Number 2 was right after Sept 11 when they had us setup a perimeter around the hospital. We were locked and loaded with our two bullets, walking around the pond out front.I was so tempted to shoot the swan that lived there, somehow I justified in my head as I made my 40th trip around the pond at 0300. Did I mention the hospital was in the center of post which was locked down already. Number 1 was when I had to stand thigh deep in garbage at JRTC loking for batteries and MRE heaters. I then had to put said batteries into my carry on flew home with them and threw them into the trash at Bragg.

(p.s. no swans were hurt in the creation of this post, in my imagination though I was all cammied up Apocalyse now style eating bbq swan)

That's when 'stage fright' sets in.

Not to highjack or anything, but in the ED, when I need a urine from someone (I don't have to watch), I pull out an indwelling catheter kit (AKA Foley Cath) and tell the guys, this hurts like a mutha, pee and you won't feel it.
You'll be surprise at how fast a guy has to urinate when he realizes that a 1/8 inch thick rubber tube may be inserted into his bladder.
Just a word to the wise, be prepared to pee at all times.
