I wouldn't put too much stock into it. While yes, this is a clear sign that things aren't "dandy" at US, she may just think that going to DL will further her career, and I could very well see that. She will be one of the first of a hiring wave, DL seems like it has an awesome future ahead, and it has a management that seems to care about its employee's. Maybe this doesn't reflect that she thinks US is going to tank next year as much as she thinks that going to DL is a better opportunity.

Besides, you will always find pilots that jump ship when the ride gets bumpy. There were even a couple of A330 captains that went to airlines like Airtran a couple of years ago at US.

Good, I'm glad that the 777-300ER rumor is still alive, it's been awhile since I have heard it!

There could be a lot more to the story too.

Maybe she's going through a divorce and her soon-to-be-ex husband flies for US? There could be a lot of personal reasons why someone could make that kind of switch.

Who knows.

Bill took some flack for leaving TWA in 1999 to go to DL. A TWA CA told him, "If you go to DL, you'll be an FO forever!". Bill chuckled, and that's how his username, fo4ever, came to be. He has been an FO for what seems like forever, but he didn't get AAssimilated by the AA purchase (and subsequently furloughed), and he squeaked by and didn't get furloughed by DL (after FMII he was 112 off the bottom). He was far from alone in his exodus though, there's a lot of TWA refugees at DL.

Speaking of being an FO for ever, I'd be about 7 from the bottom on the MD88A, so it's coming!
 
And apparently there's two former CAL's in class too according one of the new hires.
 
Hey doug, what are those blades doing next to you in that picture? You really shouldnt get that close to those things, they've been known to fall off, overspeed, and feather under certain circumstances!

You should hear me fighting tooth and nail with some of these jet guys here. All they do is talk crap on the props. They forget where they came from so soon.

I smell an ATL upgrade in mid-to-late 2008 or 2009. :yar: (He's holding out and doesn't want to take a NY upgrade. That's figuring of course that he doesn't get ousted out of CVG, I'm really hoping he doesn't have to change equipment and get suckered into a seat lock :mad:. Keep that CVG 88 base open!)
