There's about 25 or so new hires that were starting their first day of indoc a couple classrooms down from my briefing room for my FTD lesson this afternoon.

Apparently, one of the new hires was a 757 captain at an airline that recently tried to acquire us.

I wonder what the heck's going on there to want to go from 757 captain to mad dog FO.

Wow.

Was he east or west?

The instructor made it sound like "west" because he used the original name of 'west'.

It's kinda funny because we're all dressed relatively casually around the training center, but there are these MASSIVE groups of people traipsing the hallways wearing dark suites, white shirts and red ties, totally dressed to the nines.

It was almost like that scene in the Matrix when all of the "Agent Smiths" attack Neo.

If she is USAirways West she COULD be VERY worried about how the seniority lists will/could be merged/integrated shortly.

That is why she MIGHT have left.

Word from my friends at/formerly at East is the management of the past six or seven years is so screwed up, many people are out of there like bats out of hell...

Well, the biggest thing she was going to fly at "Brand X" might be an Airbus 330. The biggest thing she's going to fly is the yet to arrive 777-300's or whatever flavor of 787.

I dunno. Just thinking aloud!

A legacy US Airline has lost a few 777 Captains in the 55-57 range to fly in Asia as street captains.

Make A LOT more $$$$$ over there.

A guy at my work who is a senior 777 captain at AA is seriously considering pulling that trigger!

He seems to have it made. He hasnt flown in 2 months!!

He has shaved a few strokes off his golf game. :)

Whoa crap! I didn't realize an airline pilot owned that thing. I woulda abused it a lot more had I known that somebody coulda paid the bills on the thing :)

And all you'd have heard was "Dag gummit! That there plane was there to make money to offset my investment in Jack Utsick!"

Shall I go down to the nearby package store and send you some "Dixie Beer", Train? :)
