Gulfstream Hiring?

I read that Gulfstream International was acquired earlier this year and their APC profile page says they're hiring but I can't find anything on thier website about open FO positions. Does anyone know if GIA is hiring?

If they are under new management and were aquired by a new company, why should the drama of the past follow them to the new company. Just because they kept the name?

They are still bringing back/offering positions to all the pay to play FO's that did their program like a year ago...

The word "hiring" implies that jobs are available- you know, where you work then get paid. I think the word "enrolling" would have been better for the thread title.

[modhat]Removed from "Jobs Available". Please read the FAQ next time before posting in the "Jobs Available" section.[/modhat]

If I understand the deal with Gulfstream, they haven't "hired" from their PFT ranks for quite a while now. There ARE pilots that work/have worked at Gulfstream who didn't PFT, and were off the street hires into both seats.

The bashing is stupid. Gulfstream offered a service and some pilots took up on that service for a cost. Gulfstream has also hired street pilots, both CAs and FOs in its past history. I know many pilots who have successfully launched their careers at Gulfstream, moved onto airlines like Pinnacle, and then onwards to Fedex, Continental, etc.

There is no "lowering the bar" if you go to Gulfstream Academy. The real bar-lowering has been done with ALPA's ineffectiveness post-9/11. Anyway, Gulfstream is a safe, legit operation and anyone who uses this FO program to say it's unsafe is only using an emotional reasoning, not a factual one. Gulfstream is one of the few regionals to have a 100% safe fatal-free record. It also offers a path other than CFIing or banner towing to get to other regionals. To each his own, but lets end the unnecessary bashing.

The FO program is gone with the company sale.

All of their pilots are supposed to be legit now.

Not real hard when you have fewer flights a year then most regionals have in a month and also mostly fly in VFR WX.:insane:

Sounds like Cherokee got a little butt-hurt about Gulfstream. Man up a little, ok?

Huh? I never went to Gulfstream, and it never hurt me.
