Yea not really. Most single engine/VFR only IPs have one or maybe two students. We don't have a lot of new students coming in, so it's only getting worse for the single engine guys. Multi instructors are loaded with 7-8 students, but I have a feeling a decline is beginning.
We currently have a waiting list of about 15 CFI's waiting for a call, and I don't predict that call will be coming within the next 6-8 months.

That sounds alot like it was in late 03-04. Unfortunately I think this slowdown is going to last much longer than the last one.

haha...I heard that same speech from other management people when I instructed there 5 years ago.......What's even funnier is that I get that same memo every week at the airline i work for now......Just keep your noses clean, and their "motivational speaking" is worthless... :bandit:
