Growing industry

What opportunities are in the New York area for a helo pilot? I been told several times that the helo industry is growing and that pilots are needed, sometimes I wonder how true is that statement.

Any comments!!
 
I suppose firstly I'd look at helo sales to determine if the increase there is the same as with GA or commercial aviation. If so, then it's probably true that companies are looking for helo pilots as well.
 
It is a growing field. The quandry is they want a certain type of hours. I have personaly tailored my hours to what they are looking for. i.e. night time is like multi time in the fixed wing world. I do as much training as I can at night, I now have more night hours than most of my instructors. Also it is a very small world so ti goes more so on the who you know end of things.
