There was a ad on 350.com advertising for aerial survey pilot. Anyone have any information on them.

Doesn't say much besides start and finish dates for the season and build lots of hours in Cessna 172

Pay structure?
Company culture ?
Maintnence?
W2/1099?
Would you recommend someone working there?

Thank you
I left in January and I know a few things have already changed since I left but I'll do the best I can here. Pilots can be a mix of anyone from brand new commercials to guys that have been around a couple years. It use to be a pretty standard year round gig but things changed about two years ago and is now more of a seasonal thing with their busy time being in the summer, unlike the picto season. You fly in a two man crew. One flies, the other monitors the camera system. General rule is alternate every hour and switch seats every other day. I've heard they are flying chicken Hawks now which is new but when I was there you started in a 182, moved up to a 206, and if there were openings and you have been doing s good job you might get into the various twins. There is no garantee on twin time though, other than if you stick around for a while you should be able to get some. Clear as mud, right? Also there is a lot of duties than just flying similar to other vendors like keystone/AAofKansas/aperture. I'd say 50 flying/50 other duties. Maintenance is done by a sister company so most major stuff is done in house. When on the road it's your responsibility to make sure things are done. There are logs to help you know what's due and when, plus the people in the office keep track too but remember your PIC don't wait around if you think something is wrong. I've never been questioned when I had a concern about getting something fixed or looked at. Most planes all have at least a 430/530 in them. As far as I know everyone is still w2. Pay is hourly with a min garantee everyday regardless if you fly or not. If you work more hours than the min you will be paid appropriately for it. Per diem every day on the road. I would recommend it to people as its a great experience being out on the road there was a lot of great people working there when I was there and if you have no attachments you can make a lot of money, YMMV of course. Any more questions I'd be happy to help I'm just limited on my phone right now to how tired my fingers are going to get.

@JordanD The name doesn't sound familiar, but I know one of the places you worked was based in SBN, same place?

It is the same place. There's 5 names now I think.
