Grooming ones self for a chief pilot position

Yup, directed at you.

Thanks man, clears that one up. I was starting to think you guys didn't have as good of a gig as I thought

Hey Hollywood,

It was you whom asked for my career progression... I certainly wouldn't have offered it up otherwise. If you don't want to know, don't ask...

I thought his post was self-deprecating, not sarcastic. Might just be the way that I read it, though...

No problem... The last paragraph made me wonder...

I am happy to offer up information that people want, and try to do so whenever someone asks...

Falconcapt, are you based in Battle Creek MI?
Also, I just got offered a job flying a Jetstream 31 for a 135 charter company. (they also have a Saab 340, but no jets) Would I get looked down on for a corp job because I won't have much jet time (8 hours right now)? These are regional airline planes with converted interiors for charter/corporate shuttle.
Ultimately I'd like to work for Ford or GM

A charter job flying turbine equipment (even turboprops) is not a bad way to go. If you can move on to someplace with jets down the road, that would be fine, but for now this sounds like it could be a decent job to accumulate experience.

I agree completely with FL270 on this...

guess I can't pick your brain about Kellogs then. Other than having to slalom through all the Western Michigan U. planes on thier way to O'hare every day seems like a neat gig from what I have heard.
