In lovely Cincy.

You guys wanna guess what the topics of conversation are?

Let's see....how can regionals deal with the rising costs of fuel? What will happen as the legacy carriers they feed face hard times. Will they ever get rid of "outdated" scope clauses?

Yawn.

Hey, guys, lots of CEOs of lots of regionals are here. Anything you want me to tell them? Keep it clean, I got a job to keep.

Tell them to enjoy the majors subsidizing their fuel costs.

Tony's in my second home Cincinnati OH. You stayin in CVG or across the river

in Kentucky.
If so I could give politicaljunkie a call and you guys can hang out! I used to live in Clifton around UC!

P.S. Tell them to stop raping there emplyees and taking large bonuses! That and stop pitting there regional carriers against each other in order to lower cost.
I know fat chance....

If you get the chance to go out one night head up to Mt. Adams, awesome bar scene!

You're in my neck o' the woods. I'll be down in Cincy on Saturday with my fiance, I don't know if we're going to the Reds vs Indians game or the Levee so we'll have to play it by ear. Have fun, Mt. Adams is great and Cincinnati is a nicer town than many think.

Okay, I'm posting after a couple martinis, so this is probably a bad idea.

For the Gulfstream slammers, you folks are going to like this. There is a guy with a lofty title that was wandering around today from them. His specialty is engines.

Let's just say that 11 AM, he didn't need to be near any of them. If he breathed out, GE or CFM or Rolls or IAE would be getting a call for a new engine, because I don't think that their engines are supposed to have afterburners.

The Regional Airline Academy is here, as well as the folks from the Delta version of it. UND is here as well.

There's a company that makes simulators. Let's just say that if I "fly" like I did today, my career at a regional will be very short. As in can't even taxi away from the gate. As in forgot to turn off the parking brakes and moved the thrust levers to full power cause I wasn't moving and got pissed off!

As I said to the person at the booth, I think we just ruined a $40 million airplane.

But at least I got the engines started on the first try!

BTW, the fuel cost thing is one of the topics of conversation. As is the can the legacy carriers continue to pay the regionals what they are or will they have to cut their fees for flights. And tomorrow, in what I am sure will be a fun session, I get the joy of seeing an airline analyst from Raymond James talk about paradigm shifts and new business models and bleeding edge competitive advantages.

That's at 9:30. Y-A-W-N!

Matt, I'm actually in Cincy itself, right in the heart of downtown.

Yes,yes...details details! I'm aware that CVG means Covington.
I did after all live there for 5 1/2 yrs while I attended UC.
But CVG is kinda generically used for the entire greater Cincinnati area.
I'm originally from Arizona and Skyline isn't real chilli thats all I'm gonna say bout that one!

If it's not chile verde, chile colorado, it's "chili"!

Actually, I saw a pretty good program about "Chili/Chile" on Food Network a few weeks ago.
