True dat. Like a MOFO. They need out. And soon. You mean..."They don't think it be like it is, but it do?"
FIFY!But yes. Send them all to SkyWest I guess?
Oh, you mean like everyone else!Ha! Yes. That's great. In case y'all can't tell I'm new here. Not new to aviation. Just new to trying to get to Delta..
Complete horsescat. Sometimes I talk to people in other industries, and I'm amazed at how much nonsense we put up with. Any reasonably sized corporation wouldn't think twice about buying you a ticket, putting you up in a hotel, and buying you meals for the interview process. They would literally wine and dine you for the whole interview process. Paid on the job training wouldn't even be a question. Seriously guys, get a degree in engineering. Companies will fight for you... I would, but I'm too much of an airplane nerd. It's too late for me! Get out while you can!![]()
A buddy of mine asked me what I thought of Great Lakes. I of course said stay away...bla bla bla. I told him the pay is horrible. Then he replied with, "no, it's better than Skywest." I said, "no way!"
So anyway...I looked it up. Apparently Great Lakes has upped the pay scale. It shows two different pay scales; one for ATP qualified first officers, and one non-ATP qual.
ATP qualified first officer first year pay is $27.50. Skywest is $24.
Yes Great Lakes is garbage...bla bla bla, but I thought that was interesting enough to share.
