GLA's latest route map (April 27th) shows code share service from Denver to Branson MO, and Branson to Houston (IAH). The code share is with Elite, and scheduled to start July 15th.

Elite is an interesting little airline: HQ in Portland, Maine, and all ops, training, maintenance, crew base etc. in Melbourne FL (MLB). They fly CRJs, 200s and 700s, from Iberia and Lufthansa CityLine. Lots of sports charters, and only-certain-days-of-the-week point to point service, primarily up and down the east coast. They're growing, carefully. Eliteairways.com

I can't think why Elite is doing this; maybe they wanted staffed gates in DEN.

I've never heard of Elite, so maybe that's why they are doing this lol.

They use the CRJ2 sim in STL and use the same hotel we do. Talked to a few of their instructors, seem to be pretty cool group of guys.

Seen them in south Florida a bit. More in the past year than before...

Their push into south Florida during the past year has been pretty successful. Vero Beach last had scheduled service from Eastern (the original one!). Elite started NS service to Newark, and doubled the weekly flights a couple of months later. They recently added Naples, FL, NS to EWK and 1-stop to Portland ME and Islip Long Island. One of their targets is point-to-point service to/from under-served airports in or near wealthy towns. Adding Bar Harbor, Maine (That's "Bah Hah-bah") seasonal summer service, expecting their jets to be more popular than C-402s and Saabs. Also Islip, Long Island to Myrtle Beach SC, Portland ME and Melbourne FL.

I was going out of the next gate in Melbourne recently, and Elite was filling a CRJ-700 to Portland.

To sell tickets. Elite tickets couldn't be bought anywhere but Elite. With the codeshare with ZK, you can now buy a ticket on any airline that interlines with ZK, on Elite for those routes.

Probably matters more when they're at a large airport with multiple choices. At many of their destinations, they are the only (and new) game in town.
