Great Job Delta!

@Avgirl thanks for the PM but I don't need to discuss my profession or the threats to it in a private setting. I'm happy to discuss it in public with someone willing to support American Union aviation jobs.

The fact that ALPA and big airlines like United and Delta are completely unified in the fight should tell you how important the subject matter is to us.

That is absolutely fine if that was the actual topic in the first post of this thread. Unless you live in Atlanta, of course you won't care about the local economy. Yes, your concerns are there worldwide, but my concerns because they are more immediate lie entirely with my own economy and the bullying that not only has happened In this thread, but in my city by an airline that is strong arming businesses it supports as long as they dictate how they can run them.

Start a different thread for the ALPA issues and economic threats, and show how to be a good representative of a profession and field I absolutely respect and adore, just not everyone who chooses to make a poor example of it and tarnish the reputations of those that really epitomize what being a pilot really is.

Was kind of hoping it was shoved in a corner somewhere with the tail hanging over the perimeter fence but this is good enough. #KQA

Bullying?

Care to explain how anything in this thread has got the definition of bullying? Just because you don't like something does not mean it's bullying.

Maybe you don't think Seggy's posts were bullying, but they are, and not just to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this thread got way off topic quick, because people were quick to turn it into something it wasn't. Two separate issues not belonging in the same thread.

Yet you still stand by your original statements on how Delta handled the situation after being presented with facts disproving all of it.....

Without a doubt. Statements aren't the entire story, and the Fox Theatre thing was 100% strong arming. End of Thread.

Explain why they are bullying. You have been presented with facts regarding the original post in the thread. Yet you choose not to take that into account. Bullying would have been if Delta had a bus full of FAA inspectors sitting waiting for that plane to show up and go through it with a fine tooth comb until they found something to ground that plane.

That isn't the issue. It's the you cancel the party you are being contracted for or we pull our funding. That's the problem. Pull your funding for next year because the economy is shaky, but when you start dictating who they can do business with, when those terms were not in their sponsorship agreement, then that is a problem. If they cancelled the party, they would have kept their sponsorship. Delta, like all large corporations has a responsibility to all the communities with which they serve. It's called Corporate Responsibility, and you see their logo everywhere in Atlanta.

I was referring to Seggy, not Delta.

Corporate Responsibility means something different then you think.

This has the wonderful quote about the FoxTheatre by Delta's rep that clearly should never make a statement again. http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/05/17/delta-fox-theatre/
Who is Lucky?

Delta did not break the contract, they are just not renewing it next year. What's the problem? Why is it Delta's responsibility to fund a theatre that does not see the long term degradation of our national economy with companies that do not operate with the same set of rules? Help me understand why this is so hard for you to understand that this is not bullying but indeed Corporate Responsibility.

Well I've known seggy for a long time, before aviation as a matter of fact. He might be a lot of things but bully is not one of them.

Maybe a while ago, but for some reason, he is getting increasingly more negative with posts and grumpier, I would like to think he is a good guy, I just haven't seen any evidence of it.

First and foremost, once again @Avgirl, why are you here? Is it to gather information for your boyfriend? Or is it to troll? I know one thing, my girlfriend (now my wife) at the time I was looking to move on was supportive, but she didn't gather information for me. I got it all on my own, put the pieces together to move myself on.

That is absolutely fine if that was the actual topic in the first post of this thread.

Another point missed by you. Some of us on here are on the front line of this fight. It was great to see what Delta did to help the cause.

Ok, once again, what is your purpose on here? To bitch about Delta? Or gather information for your boyfriend?

Actually, you decided to jump in on this thread and brought ALPA up. Also, if you are still pissed because I called out someone acted unprofessional and who bashed another regional, well that is your problem.

Look at the link to the article I posted, please. That might be useful. Delta is acting like a spoiled brat, not quite the bully and again, you are bringing up an entirely different issue. Can we stay on topic, it's pretty easy. One party, they lose their sponsorship even with no further events from Qatar. One event with JLo? A bit extreme. If Qatar was to become a sponsor you might actually have a point, but that is not the case.
