actually that statement of the original post would be directly against the 1st Amendment. It allows everyone, even the dumb asses to say what the want (and that's not my opinion)

Unless the government is preventing you from saying it...nothing is being violated

(there are exceptions..i.e. hate speech, slander, safety and some health concerns) but who determines what those statements are...well people are given PhD's and Nobel's to try and figure it out.

You can say whatever you want, the same with I can criticize as much as I want of what you say....and I wouldn't be labelled against free speech

Hate speech is protected under the first amendment. Slander is technically also protected under criminal law, no one can stop you from saying something slanderous and you cannot be put in jail, you can be sued in a civil court and determining whether speech is slanderous is up to a civil court. The people who determine this are JDs, not PhDs

a few things....you can say it but get in trouble for it and then they can tell you to stop it.

as for the JD v PhD's...I guess I was referring to . Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) is the research doctorate in law, and as such it is generally accepted as comparable to the more commonly awarded research doctorate, the Ph.D
but that is a rare level of education and not many institutions offer it (as compared to a J.D.)
