Graduates

Hello all,

I'm interested in hearing about where ATP graduates in the fairly recent past are now. I'm expecting the normal answers... instructing, right seat somewhere, spinning your wheels somewhere else, unemployment line. If you've got a story let's have it. Pardon the redundancy if this thread is somewhere else.

I graduated in 04. I was a regional airline captain, and now am a tanker pilot... (I guess 7 years isn't exactly recent...)

"Fairly recent past", huh? I finished in '07. Does that count?

Been instructing for almost 4 years, finally joining the 121 world.

Finished July '08 Drove that thing in the avatar from Dec. '08 until this week. Now shopping for a CE56X...

Finished in July '09 (CFI opt-out to pursue elsewhere). Aviation insurance agent and grabbing hours where I can.

Holy crap that's a lot of hours fast. Did you go zero to hero or have a good number going in?
I started in Oct of 03 and at the end of Dec 04 I had over 900, and I only worked there for six months...you build a lOT of time if you flight instruct at ATP...and it was 600 Multi

Did the 90 day in 2008, finished in October, instructed full time for 1 1/2 years, now fly for a 135 operation as a piston captain and kingair/beechjet FO. Making the switch next month to the 121 world.......guess it worked for me.

I finished the 90 day course 2/2007

3200 hours later Im now a Chief Flight Instructor at a small 141 school and a 135 pilot flying various pistons and a King Air.

Its been one huge adventure.

Finished first part of 2007, went back to my hometown (KSAT) and flight instructed for a year and a half, then got hired by Mesa in the Dash-8 in Denver. Spent 1.5 years there before getting furloughed, right after thanks to a JC member I got a job at Martinaire flying the Caravan in my hometown (KSAT) -- after 6 months UPS replaced my run with a 1900, so became a floater pilot for another 7 months. After a little over a year at Martinaire I got hired by a FedEx Feeder (Baron) in a run in my girlfriends hometown (KROW.) So, now I can see her everyday, am paid a living wage and don't have to touch packages or load my own airplane.
