I'm just commenting on how useless this place has gotten lately. Almost everything posted is either stupid or very negative. Here's a summary of everything posted lately, tell me it's not completely worthless:

1. North Dakota sucks.
2. The weather here sucks.
3. ND women are fat and ugly.
4. There's nothing to do here.
5. UND is out to get me cause I'm a tool and can't finish my flight lab on time.
6. My hometown is way better than Grand Forks, and I'm gonna make sure you know it!
7. Let's go steal a projector from one of the sims.
8. I'm too cool for hats/gloves when it's -30 wind chill, check out my bleeding hands!
9. Scooters....WTF!!

1. You're probably just enjoying college a lot and defend ND because of the college fun you're having.
2. It does suck. It might be better than the middle-of-nowhere Alaska where you worked in the summer, but it's still ****ty.
3. They are fat and ugly to my standards. Simple truth.
4. You're right...there ARE things to do here...like buffalo women.
5. Nah, everyone has difficulties. I wouldn't consider myself a tool for not finishing up on time. I think what's been discussed before is the bonus point system, not the fact that one's a tool for not finishing up on time.
6. My hometown IS better than Grand Forks, and I don't need to tell you that. Then again, you might fancy something different from what I like. It's all up to you.
7. It was a joke. It was never a projector from the sims.
8. When I'm in a car, I don't bundle up like I would when walking to class. It's pointless when the car has heat. I hate putting a bunch of layers and I'm sure most hate it too, except for those that want to layer up with as many Polaris jackets possible to show that they're the ****.
9. Scooters? I could be boring and place an aviation picture as my avatar.

We have all the right to make fun of this place because UND doesn't do a good job in properly warning future students of the negatives of living in this town and going to UND - in their marketing material. We are here on this message board to provide useful information of both negatives and positives so that they can make an informed decision before going through the trouble of moving here. Then when they come on these boards and bitch after the fact that they were warned of the negatives of living here, we can yell at them and say that we warned them!

You can say "well you can just leave if you don't like it" - it's not that easy. I have a budget, I am here anyway, and want to finish my last year here so I can get the fück onto my career...since I'm already 24 going on 25...old compared to most college graduates.
 
Yeah, who would think that North Dakota wouldn't be warm all year? And a city of 80,000 doesn't have the same amenities as San Diego? :p

LOL leave it to Chris Ford to chime in on this...well I knew what I was getting into as far as weather, but I had NO clue about the lack of good food... I was so naive. And of course I knew there was no beach!

Look, there are going to be positives and negatives to everything, and certainly P&N's with every place you live. I'm glad that instead of constantly b****ing about grand forks, I'm (and so are other members here that just are just saving their breath and refraining from arguing with these negative posts) making the best of it and having fun. After all, we all are paying a ton of money to be up here... suck it up and have fun with it

OMG, hahaha! We have waaaaaaay too much fun. Who said we weren't making the best of it? These guys are very social and a lot of fun. And I'm not talking aviation social, we don't just stick to aviation nerds.
