I start ground school on January 24th at a freight company out in Western Alaska. When out on the line I will be a SIC in a CASA 212.

I have a lot of members here to thank including Rudabega, Alaska45, Polar742, rjmore, Surferlucas, and many others. Thank you to Doug and Kristie for such an amazing site. Patience, and persistence are two things I have learned. They are two of the keys to me getting this job.

Here is a picture of my new ride!

Sweet man, congratulations! That thing looks awesome, it kinda reminds me a C123 in a weird way. I'd be quoting Air America clips for the first week flying around in it.

I just said exactly the same thing on his facebook, it's like a mini-C-123 with Garretts. He'll be weaving his way through AAA explosions griping about the "Golden BB" in no time. :)

Congrats Alec!!!

Congrats! They putting you in the sled as well?

That's one of the better outfits to go to. And if you have not been to the bush... umm just keep an open mind and your hopes low haha. But seriously, bring a bunch of airborne or emergen c. My first few shifts up there I got really sick. There's stuff in the air up there that normal immune systems have never experienced:eek: ...I got the whole town sick when I came back :) ... two or three times...

Thanks! They will put me in the sled when I get the times. For now I get to appreciate the CASA.

An open mind and low hopes can be the only way to survive around here. So I am used to that. Good to know about the Emergen-c and airborne.

Awesome Alec! I've been out of cell range. I'll give a call!

Zach, we need to catch up. And I was sick at the end of my first few shifts as well. Got to love the Bet crud.

Haha! True. One of my favorite jobs was loading bags, so I think I will enjoy it.
