The million dollar question is: Is there some sort of recorder that can be auto activated as we talk? (as in: When somebody mics in it records and when you click out it stops?)

Can't help you with that. Just get a cheap MP3 recorder and use a free editing software to delete the parts where you are talking to your self or while you are singing against boredom :rawk:

This guy explains several different methods that can be used to record the audio. He also made a video at the bottom that shows how everything works. I use the first method shown in the video to record all my audio and it sounds just fine.
