I report for duty in Seattle on September 15 to begin training with Aeroflight! Can't wait to start flying 135 and quit teaching. It is going to be awesome to be the one flying for a change!

Thanks everyone! I have been told the 402 is a very capable airplane. I'm just excited to have a little ice protection for once. I know I still need to be careful, but

Good job, man. Just be careful not to run the 402 oversquare!
I'm not familiar with the term oversquare. What does that mean?

Alright, I feel dumb. I'm all caught up on the tern oversquared. Im going to be hard pressed to no oversquare a turbocharged engine. Isn't that the point of turbos. But thanks for getting me in the loop.

Im going be be flying a 402b. The Company sold all of the C's because they were worth so much, and you can pick up b's for so little. And with doing bank stuff you are so light that you don't need the extra performance. I do wish it had the hydraulic gear though. I haven't heard great things about electric gear.

Some people get hung up on non-turbocharged engines with running the MP higher than RPM. So say on your typical arrow, some people say if you run 25 inches of MP and 2300 RPM that your engine will explode.

I flew a 402B until the owners sold it. I don't know where the horror stories of the gear have come from, but it also could be that I just wasn't in the twin cessna flying business very long.

How did you meet the requirement of:

Current IFR in a piston multi-engine aircraft, acting as the sole manipulator of the controls

That's the only thing holding me back.

I'm not sure why they even have that; IFR currency is based on Category, not class. We have a Seminole FTD at the flight school I'm at. You can legally use it for IFR currency.

Are you looking to try and get a job there, or are you speaking in general?

Congrats on landing the job.

Although, at first it sounded like the next phase in life after getting a training bra.
