Got my motorcycle permit!

Just got my motorcycle permit and went out for the first time on a sport bike. It's quite different from the dirt bikes I had growing up... a lot more power. :D I'm learning on my brother's spare bike which I'll acquire shortly. We went riding on a beautiful day in sunny San Diego. Here are some pics from today.

Me on the bike... 1992 Honda CBR600 F2. Don't you love the early 90's graphics? haha

Congrats:)

That is on my list of things to do. I just started to learn to ride my dads enduro this summer. It is pretty cool.

Nice vintage of bike you have there.

I've been looking for this to ride:

Not many 350 bikes around and I don't have to worry as much of wrapping myself around a pole.

Congrats man! Did you take the MSF course or just the DMV test.
My first bike was a 1998 zx-6r so I feel your pain when it comes to the graphics, she was purple and green :o... lol I had it painted in two days

When did your brother get a Yamaha? You should have left the pic in color. I like the colors on those Yamahas. :)

Yeah that's a nice bike. I'm hoping the old F2 will keep me tame until I am a more experienced rider.

I haven't taken any course yet, but I'm going to take the CMSP course put on by the CHP.

Nice bicycle, Jace! ;)

He got it about 2 months ago. I thought you knew he bought it?

Ride safe... and watch out for all those cagers out there!

Congrats on the endorsement, and props for wearing gear! If you do acquire that bike keep it in those colors, some people are willing to pay ridiculous amounts for original paint jobs like that.

As far as the F2 keeping you tame, don't underestimate it. It may be old and 'small' but I'm willing to bet that it can beat 98% of the cars you'll see.

My current ride, '95 Suzi RF600R

PS - I'm pretty sure we've fulfilled every little boys dream :)

Good job, I hope you get more use out of your's then i do of mine, three years now and i have not even been on a bike in over two years.

Very cool pictures. I keep putting off getting my permit (as much as I would LOVE to have one).

I'm all about gear... most California riders are all about gear... squids are highly looked down upon here among riders - especially since it makes you look like a fool with major "machismo insecurities".

And yes, the F2 is very quick. I love the feeling at WOT. :D

As long as we're showing off bikes, here's mine. It looks like some weird bug had a threesome with a dirtbike and a crotch rocket then got hit with the ugly stick... but I love it.

Grats on the new ride! Have fun, and stay safe.

Congrats,

Here was my first bike. I loved it, but it only took one time at 160 mph to sell it and get one of these.

Have fun and be safe out there. Remember, it's not the motorcycle that's dangerous. Its all the other cars around you with drivers that are more concerned with their cell phones, laptops, newspapers, and screaming kids more than watching for us.

The more I look at it, the more I dig the early 90s graphics.

anyway here's mine, the one closer to the camera
