Got my first student to solo

Hi guys I am new to forums joined yesterday. I am a CFI, CFII, and MEI. I am currently instructing building time for the dream of flying for an airline. I just got my first student to solo in a Cessna 172S! :rawk:

Needless to say since he was my first student that I signed off I had to change my pants when I got home. Next time I'll bring a spear set of pants :crazy:

When I started walking away from the Cessna I looked back and the adrenaline kicked in like crazy. My heart was pounding but after he did his landings the face that he had just was priceless. He was so proud of himself as was I proud of him. But man was my heart pounding

Congrats! I'm sure I gave my instructor heartburn when I soloed. One seemed totally calm even when questioned by the tower if he wanted to solo a student that day.

Hey thanks guys for the welcoming. Student soloed on July 16th last week. But now one of my students is coming to his solo x country. I am gonna bring 3 pairs of underwear and pants.

Did you cut your student's shirt? Drawing pictures and hanging them on the wall was one of my favorite ways to celebrate!
