Got f-worded!

One door closes, another one opens, trust me.

At what TT are you now?

Sorry to hear the bad news dude.

Don't know if it's something that could work for you, but... USA Jet (thread)
we're hiring and it's more or less a commutable job (check with cleardforoption, he commutes from SoCal)

Lemme know if you're interested.

I do... I'm about 15 minutes away from you if I remember correctly... anyhoo, I'll 2nd Spasekace's offer... Just off the top of my head I would check out Chrysler aviation @ VNY. I ended up getting my WIA funded Citation rating there after I was furloughed from Mesa - they are looking for people every now and then. (Don't know much about working there, it's kind of old school - 30 min callout 135 charter stuff.)

The other thing I was thinking of is if you are furloughed you might be able to take advantage of the same WIA program that I was able to and pick up a type/ATP. (since we are both in 'SoCal' the process I went through should apply to you)

Here's the 'book' I wrote on it:
Workforce Investment Act Thread

Sorry to hear that you got F-bombed, it always sucks. Let me know if I can help.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has sent me PM's with suggestions and offers of help. I am trying to keep it all together for my family right now. Being without a job, and a 4 year old to support is very stressfull and trying my paitents. I tried to have some money saved for circumstances like this, but I just coulden't seem to get enough together. Thank goodeness my boss gave me a severance package, otherwise.......But again, thanks to all the JC members for their help and support. This place is great. Special thanks to Charlie for spending over an hour on the phone with me. You are great man, an asset to the JC community for sure. You have helped me with issues that I had previously not know about. Seriously good man willing to go the extra mile for the profession!

Lies, lies! All lies! You sully my hard-earned reputation as a crude, womanizing ne'er-do-well. ;)

Seriously though.. it's the least I can do. You're part of the JC family.

As my real-life brother says, "I'd go to war for my friends- and you're my brother."

Bump. Did an Amerflight interview today, but I don't think I did to well in the sim. I think I had some nasty tricks played on me. Still looking for work.

Not fired, but furloughed.:(

Officially got the news. Time to start looking for new work. I was sat down by the boss and told that he hates that part of his job, and he doesn't want to do it, but he had no other choice with how tight things are. He gave me enough of a severance package to get me through to the end of the year, and he'd write me a letter of recommendation as well as forwarding my resume to everyone he knows. He also told me I could use his airplane to take my ATP ride. I can't blame him really. He needs to look out for his business, and sometimes you have to make tough choices as a business owner. So, the job hunt continues.

So if anyone knows of any operators looking for someone with a current PA31 PIC 8410 and a LR-31 SIC 8410, please pass the info along.

I'll keep an eye open for anything in your area and pass it along to you. PM me your number. I'll dig in and look.

Back in August they were looking for Lear FO's in Van Nuys.

Just based on your a/c quals...there is a Lr 31 at KLNN. Belongs to a car dealership conglomerate. But...who wants to move to Cleveland?
