Google strikes again! (METARs)

Saw this over at my company forums, it works great!

Text message METAR KLAX (for example) to 466453 ('GOOGLE' on most devices) and Google will fire back at you the latest METAR for that airport.

http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/mobile/sms/#

Pretty cool stuff for those of us who don't have the fancy phones! It also does movies, directions, flight information, etc.

Err... it's been doing that for a while. You can request a whole bunch of stuff via text message from them.

It also costs money - it used to be $.25 per request when they started the service -- maybe it's not now but it used to be.
